Thoughts on LA Riots

I don't have the answers. My great grandparents were born in Mexico. There are parts of me that hurt for my Mexican people, and there are parts of me that hurt for my countrymen.

News of the riots have taken over my social media feed. A lot of people are hurting. And at the root of the problem is politics.

The last administration allowed many immigrants from other countries to enter into the country without proper documentation. The current administration is trying to identify and remove illegal immigrants. Many people in Los Angeles California are upset.

I know that people protesting are angry, but I have a hard time understanding how throwing rocks at police cars and vandalizing the streets will help their cause. I suppose they want an outlet for their anger. I understand that.

The news recently said that 700 Marines from Southern California will be sent to L.A. in the next 24 hours. I hypothesize that there will be many more people hurt. I also hypothesize that this will not end in the favor of those protesting.

Let us pray that people affected by all this hurt are healed.
